Rafael Pagonis triumphed in the final and won the 40th edition of the TIM
The young Greek Rafael Pagonis (No. 2 Tennis Europe) won the title this Sunday, February 23, 2025, by defeating the Austrian Moritz Freitag (No. 6 Tennis Europe) in the final of the 40th edition of the TIM with a score of 6/2-7/6¹.
Dominant in the first set, Pagonis took a commanding lead by dictating the pace. Freitag , however, responded brilliantly at the start of the second set, taking an early 5-2 lead thanks to a significant improvement in his performance. But the young Greek displayed remarkable mental fortitude, turning the match around to clinch the second set in a tiebreak and secure the victory in a spectacular match that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.
