Bublik is becoming unstoppable!!!

Raw and unpredictable talent...

The Kazakh player had participated in the Tim Essonne tournament in 2011 but failed to reach the later rounds. Now ranked 10th in the world, he is currently in the best form of his career. On January 11, 2026, in Hong Kong, he won his ninth ATP title, notably defeating world number 5 Lorenzo Musetti in the final. The Italian, who won the Hong Kong doubles title, faced a Bublik at the peak of his form and lost in two sets (6-3, 7-6(2)).

A native of Russia, he turned professional in 2016. He won his first ATP title in the south of France, in Montpellier, in 2022. Over the next two years, he won three more titles in Halle (ATP 500), Antwerp (ATP 250), and again in Montpellier (ATP 250). He also reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time in 2023. He lost to the 2011 Tim Essonne champion, Russian Andrey Rublev , in five sets after coming back from two sets down (5-7, 3-6, 7-6(6), 7-6(5), 4-6).

The year 2025 would be even more significant for his career, as he truly came into his own, winning four titles, including the ATP 500 in Halle once again. He would prevail in the final against a former quarter-finalist at the Tim Essonne (2009), none other than Daniil Medvedev . That same year, he reached the semi-finals of the Paris Masters, the quarter-finals at Roland-Garros, and the round of 16 at the US Open. These performances would propel him into the Top 15.

Ultimately, this victory in Hong Kong and his entry into the world's Top 10 are a continuation of the previous year, during which he steadily improved. If he maintains this momentum, former Tim Essonne participant Alexander Bublik could even achieve great results in Grand Slam tournaments...
